Boeing™ B-1B Lancer Limited Edition Large Mahogany Model

The B-1B is a supersonic strategic bomber with variable-sweep wings that extend for slow flight and landings and sweep back for supersonic flight. It was designed to replace both the B-58 Hustler and the B-52 bombers. Rockwell, later part of Boeing, built 100 B-1Bs-production ended in 1988. Designed as a nuclear bomber, it was converted to deliver conventional bombs for use during Operation Desert Fox in Vietnam. The aircraft has a crew of four and an operational speed of Mach 1.25 (830 mph). Interesting fact: in addition to production issues, the B-1B was largely replaced by cruise missiles that could perform the same mission.
