The original Baron was introduced in 1961 as a follow-on aircraft developed from the Beechcraft Travel Air. Still in production today, more than 6,800 Barons have been produced. The current production version, introduced in 2005, is powered by two Continental 300hp engines. This detailed model is the current G58 model trimmed in yellow and black striping. Interesting fact: The Barons are described as being "the perfect private aircraft," with a typical cruise speed is 210 mph and a range of more than 1,000 miles.
