The B757-200 was the largest single-aisle aircraft manufactured by Boeing. The aircraft was first flow in 1982 and production, totaling 1050 aircraft, continued through 2004. US Airways operated 24 B757-200s until the airline ceased operation in 2015 following its merger with American Airlines. The B757-200 was built as a follow-on model to replace the Boeing 727 on short and medium range routes, although it appears that US Air used the aircraft, which had an operational range of more than 4,000 miles, on some longer coast-to-coast routes. Our model is shown in the livery of U.S. Airways prior to its merger with American Airlines. Interesting Fact: Boeing delivered its last B767-20, number 1050, to Shanghai Airlines in 2005.
